Recently, the the Marine Omics IT Zenodo Community, has been launched as dedicated open repository space established to collect, preserve, and showcase scientific outputs, datasets, data management plans, and computational tools generated across Italian marine omics initiatives.
Hosted under the umbrella of The Italian Observatory Network of Marine Biodiversity, this community ensures that all project assets adhere strictly to FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable).
Initial Publications & Resources
The community is now live with its first batch of core deliverables:
- Data Management Plan (DMP): The official Data Management Plan of the Italian Omics Observatory Network of Marine Biodiversity, outlining the strategies, protocols, and workflows for long-term data governance, curation, and sharing.
- Bioinformatics Pipeline (v1.0.1): The initial stable release of the standardized 16S metabarcoding analysis pipeline (GitHub Repository), designed to process high-throughput bacterial diversity data collected across Italian LTER marine stations.
